John Mossop

Originally from South Africa, John is an accomplished performer and composer who plays keyboards & guitar and possesses an extraordinarily smooth vocal ability. From the early age of eight years old John was a member of the Diocesan College Choir in Cape Town, and spent the next nine years performing various works with the Cape Town Symphony Orchestra.

After completing a Horticultural Diploma, John studied piano and started performing solo in South Africa and later throughout Europe. In 1983 he moved to Australia and studied at Conservatorium of Music in Hobart during which time he composed pieces for Duo, Quintet & Ensemble. Some of his works were performed at the opening of the Salamanca Arts Festival in 1986, and during his time in Tasmania he won the 7HO Hobart Song of the Year twice.

John later moved to Noosa, where he continued his musical career performing as a solo artist in the region, and in 2002 he moved with his family to Fremantle.
