David Morgan

Originally from Bristol, England, as a teenager David studied jazz guitar under the legendary big band leader Jack Toogood. He was a member of the successful funk rock band ‘Medusa’, and in 1978 helped start ‘Rainbow Concerts’ which went on to become one of Britain’s leading concert promoters of the 80’s. In 1982 he migrated to Perth, Western Australia, and in 1984 moved to Karratha in the states North West to work for a major Oil & Gas company.

During his time in the North West, he was a  founding member of the well known Pilbara cover band “Mugshots’ and also a partner in ‘North West Promotions’ an entertainment agency that brought live bands and artiste to the North West of Western Australia. Now residing in Perth, David is now a Business Analyst and manages the ‘Mesa Band’ affairs. David wrote the words & music to most of the ‘Nor West Friends’ CD including Kanaji Binbaku which was a finalist in the 2007 WAMI Regional Song of the Year.
